Interstate Marine offers pre-storage preparation and winterization, and boat storage is currently available at the Belton shop. These are separate offerings; contact Interstate Marine to confirm space availability and storage arrangements.
Learn about Boat Storage.
Start with the storage plan
Tell Interstate Marine where and how the boat will be stored, its likely period of nonuse, and what equipment is installed. Do not assume a covered space replaces the need to consider fluids, batteries, or water-containing circuits.
The listed seasonal tasks include battery charging and storage preparation, cover inspection and installation, engine treatment, fuel stabilization, oil and gear oil service, and applicable cooling-system preparation.
Include more than the propulsion engine
Freshwater plumbing, holding tanks, livewells, and washdown equipment may need their own seasonal tasks. Installed generators and HVAC can also affect the water-system inventory. Identify those installations instead of treating engine treatment as a description of the entire boat.
Describe previous seasonal work and known concerns. Stale or contaminated fuel is a separate service issue from routine fuel stabilization.
Keep the return-to-use record
Save the record of fluids and systems treated, battery preparation, and cover work. When the boat is ready to return, that history helps define fluid and leak checks, battery testing, freshwater flushing and sanitization, and operational verification.
For a Belton shop inquiry, identify the requested preparation or winterization tasks. Preparation work does not reserve a storage space; confirm space and arrangements separately if you want to store the boat at Interstate Marine.
Storage preparation is different from reserving space
Yamaha's extended-storage guidance addresses inactivity, lubrication, fuel, and batteries. Storage preparation can be useful even when the boat will be kept somewhere other than a service shop.
Tell Interstate Marine about the storage arrangement and expected period of inactivity. Ask which engine, cooling, plumbing, holding, livewell, battery, and cover tasks apply to the boat. Record what was completed and what must happen before its return to use. This article concerns preparation and winterization. To store the boat at the Belton shop, contact Interstate Marine to confirm space availability and storage arrangements. Confirm the work and drop-off arrangements directly before bringing the boat.
